I mean it is a very good uni one of the better ones I applied to. But many people have received an interview and I havent looking tough with 25/27 and 2470 band 2

Not sure if the interviews received by applicants consists of both contextual and/or non-contextual - as yet.

Though you will be consider under Other Contextual Factors by Cardiff. If your score is above 100, which I am pretty sure you will be based on your previous posts stating disadvantage area (0-99 for non-contextual), you will be considered holistically by Cardiff and

"be given additional consideration in the scoring and selection process which is used for determining those to be invited to interview".

Your scores are still above previous years cutoff, ain't over as yet. Press on!

Congrats to all those who have received invitation to interview today.
Would be great that those who have been invited, kindly state your stats (which some of you have already done so) UCAT/band, GCSEs, predicted A, contextual or non-contextual, Welsh or RUK.
All the best for the next round of interview.

UCAT 3000 B3, GCSEs ten grade 9s and one grade 8 (so 27/27 for Cardiff scoring), non-contextual, RUK

As requested, interview stats with a couple more details: 26/27, UCAT 2670 B2, predicted A*,A,A,A unsure if contextual or not as meet some of the requirements but will depend on their scoring system, Welsh

Well done and congrats! Thanks for your stats, greatly appreciated. Welsh students should and are usually considered with additional consideration, regardless contextual or non-contextual, compared to RUK applicants.

Wishing you all the best for the forth coming interview.

I got an offer for interview but didn’t get the notification for it until now, but the only available slots left are ones that i can’t make as the trains don’t run early enough/my parents won’t be able to take me either but I’m not old enough to get a hotel room myself the night before. any advice on what to do?? i’m kind of panicking here and really just wished that i checked my email today, is it possible to be part of the next group of interviews or is this basically an instant rejection from cardiff :frown:

It ain't rejection at all.

Would you call their Admin first thing tomorrow morning explaining your situation to them, am sure they will be sympathetic to your situation. See if they could arrange temp student accommodation. Can you travel the day before then because of train starting time? It is extremely risky to travel to any med interview if you need to rely on the public transport over long distance, ie train!

I have an interview at Manchester that is around 4 hours train journey, will be away from school the day before interview to travel up instead.

Ive gotten an interview invite earler (2750 b2, A*A*A, 6A* 3A gcse, welsh domiciled)

But there are no interview dates left? Does anyone know if there will be more put up?

edit : If this helps anyone I called them up and they said to just book the bilingual one instead since I'm Welsh Domiciled even though I'm not welsh speaking.

Yh it's looking very tough I cant lie. 99% rejection incoming, I live in a low participation area but its part of the other factors for contextual consideration, so most likely it wont be contextual but do you reckon it will have some sort of advantage for being considered.

You will likely have contextual points, which can lower the score needed significantly.
Good luck!
