How do you know if your offer is contextual/ reduced grades. Has anyone received one?

When you apply to uni u usually put in certain circumstances that make you a contextual applicant, for example the postcode of ur house. Lower grades are normally informed of on the ucas website when u get an offer - hope that helps :smile:

I don’t think Cardiff do lowered grades for Medicine. And if you are contextual you probably would have gotten an email earlier this week about a travel bursary? I was emailed offering a bursary for having travelled to the interview as I was flagged as contextual. But my offer was still AAA so not lowered at all.

No they didn't officially announce it, this is info based on previously year.

Yes rejection or waitlist will follow, but I think there are some rejection sent already

I received that email yesterday but not the offer yet, so that email was sent to all applicants for 2026 entry?

No, I didn’t have a start day until 27/02, then the dare appeared yesterday afternoon and offer followed in the evening. Fingers crossed, the sand should happen for you 🙂
