Rejected from UCL

So sorry to hear about your rejection being an int'l student with a PhD from Oxford! Hopefully a loss for UCL would transpire into something brighter elsewhere!! All the best

Just came across this note from a rejected applicant at UCL - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE all future applicants, do a basic check of yourselves that you are at least 18 yrs old when you start medicine. Don't waste a chance to be rejected by a silly mistake!!!

PS: although this rejected applicant mentioned he/she was deferring - can only confer the admin team at UCL either missed that point or didn't like that.

I emailed them before about applying for deferred entry they said its fine with them and it wouldn't effect the selection process however if u choose to defer after u have received an offer its viewed on individual basis and may not always be granted

No news is good news.

Usually defer will not affect any application. The provided info for that rejected candidate was quite limited.

So theres nothing I can do? It seems that that applicant just got automatic default rejection by their system 😭

If you have black and white correspondence (email) from them stating its fine to defer, then its fine dont worry about it.

I am more concerned about your stats as I do remember your stats from previous lengthy discussions. Stay calm and strong

Okay. Thank you!
I just got a rejection from Cambridge yesterday but it's fine somehow even with my deep fear of rejection from anything. I went into this knowing what to expect. not applying was a guaranteed no and I couldn't live with that. I had to try! We hope for the best and move on: )
Also what you do is so cool and I admire it so much especially for someone like myself that has limited support and ppl to turn to.I talked about how I want to dedicate time in my gap year to do what u do!

The courage you have earned quite a lot of respect from me.

Regardless of what happened in the immediate future, stay rooted in your aspiration to become a doctor in due course!
