I’m in year 13 rn but I may have to take a gap year. Was just wondering what proportion of UCL medics are gap year students ?

i’m doing a gap year this year with deferred entry to start next year! i’m sure it’s pretty common and you won’t feel ‘too old’ to be there if you take a gap year so i wouldn’t worry

Hey, I want to go to UCL for medicine and so far I have gcses 999998876 and I think im on track for A*A*A predicteds. Do i meet the standard for someone who would recieve an interview from UCL for the stats I have as I have not done my UCAT yet. Please be brutally honest.

Hi there
The devil is in your UCAT score .Aim for the equivalent of the old score of 3000+ to guarantee an interview.

You need your ucat, only then others can give you an informed advice. UCL does NOT score GCSEs so although ur GCSEs are great, they don’t give u any advantage. And as far as I know they don’t look at a level predicteds past min requirement, so no advantage there either. So it completely depends on your ucat.
