Is there a thread for the foundation course?

Hello @decisive-proleta

I will share with you some information on foundation year and the foundation course for medicine.

Here is some information on foundation years at UEA:
https://www.uea.ac.uk/study/information-for/foundation-year
With this you can find some videos on previous students that have taken foundation years and also explore foundation year courses.

Here is the website for medicine with a foundation year:
https://www.uea.ac.uk/course/undergraduate/mbbs-medicine-with-a-gateway-year
With this you can see specifically what the foundation year involves in medicine, which also lists the compulsory modules for 2025, e.g. introduction to Biology for medicine

I will set up a new thread for foundation year in medicine with this information as well. 🙂

If you have any further questions please let me know

I feel like it's probably unlikely assuming non-contextual but I've only just applied as well so I'm not really qualified to speak. Also, it's not like it really matters anymore since the deadline has passed.

It basically says nobody got an offer with less than 2440 last year (non-WP). However, it may change year on year.

It says
LOWEST UCAT INTERVIEWED at UEA/East Anglia ie UCAT Cut Off Score (Non-WP)

2024 Entry: 2190

Offer is based on interview not your initial score

These are likely to be people with a guaranteed interview or annotated score.
And offer is 50% UCAT 50% interview performance at UEA

offers have previously and I assume will continue to be based on UCAT and interview score 50:50. This likely means that anyone who had less than 2440 last year couldn't get a place regardless of interview performance.

well done! Are you contextual or non contextual? Were you allowed to choose the date of interview?
