Hi, any advice on whether I should I apply to the St Andrews Scot Com program or not? (sorry, I couldn’t find a thread for the ScotCOM, and need honest advice asap)

UCAT score: 2740 b2
GCSEs: 9999999888
Predicted grades: A*A*A

I am contextual for grades, in that I need an AAB for St Andrews: however, I’m not eligible for a 10% uplift on my UCAT score (the university has apparently changed its policy on the uplift - last year, I may have been eligible for it)
I really did want to apply but my ucat is pretty low for the uni - does anyone think it’s even worth me applying? There are definitely better aspirational choices, but do I have a small chance?

anyone applying with RUK fee status to the England route? What is your UCAT score?

Hey I am a home Scottish applicant with disappointing ucat of 2510 band 1 do u think this will be enough for the uni as I desperately want to get in- not contextual applicant btw

that is odd cause I found out there was someone from my school that got an interview at 2500 band 4 non contextual

I agree with Anonmousuue.

I find that claim that someone at your school got an interview with 2500 puzzling, but a Band 4 is unbelievable.

Anyway, if you’re citing that as fact, why ask a question that you know the answer to?

Yeah, what I also thought as well. Has anyone given any extenuating circumstances and if so, has anyone received anything back about it?

Right. Well, it could be due to some type of situation like Realising Opportunities or WP schemes with guaranteed interviews. However just like @Parentofstudent said, Band 4 seems quite unbelievable. Are you or are they Scottish?

I'm sort of in the same boat. I haven't heard back about my extenuating circumstances, and I'm not sure if they require any more information or if it's not sufficient enough, or anything at all about it but all you can do is just try to push the thought out your mind. :frown: wish you the best and the rest of you all
