I'm not sure whether I need to submit supplementary forms. I am UK, non-contextual, no extenuating circumstance, so should be fine right

You should be fine, but you can double check with the admissions team just in case

With extenuating circumstances, will you be penalised if it is not considered so by theuniversity, will your application be rejected.I have extenuating circumstances, but I’m not surewhether I should include it.My school included extenuating circumstances in myreferences about my English language grade. The whole cohort scored below average( high performing school)and I did too. Also, recently I found out I need extra timein exams which I did not have for GCSE’s. I don’t knowwhether this is a good enough reason, and whether tobother putting it. Will I be penalised?

Does Liverpool ever send interview invites before Christmas or is it usually January?

Reply 5

I also would like to know

Reply 6

From looking at previous threads, it seems as if they send them in early January. Of course this is a total guess but it looks like it’s going to be then just based off the last few years.

Hi, I really stupidly only just realised that there was an additional form to fill in and now it’s too late. I’m UK but potentially contextual (young carer). Was the form just about extenuating circumstances, contextual factors etc or was it about work experience? Should I still be ok for an interview without filling it in? 2730 B2, A*A*A* predicted and 11A*s at gcse

I think the form for Liverpool was the work experience form, unfortunately I don't think they consider interviews without the form being filled in because they require all interviewees to reach the threshold of grades and work experience days

Hi, can I ask when you all got this form? As I’ve had confirmation that they received my application but was never sent a work experience form?

There is a link to the Departmental Entry form below which details information about applying. It mentions a form, but not related to work experience as far as I can see.

Hope it helps.

Hi Ellie,

I believe that they will consider your application as noncontextual.

The work experience should be described in your personal statement.

Apart from being considered noncontextual, I believe there is no problem at all, since the form is required in specific cases, as stated in the DEpartamental Supplememnt to the Admissions Policy:

"Some applicants applying to the School of Medicine’s A100 programme in 2024 for entry in 2025 or 2026 may have to provide additional information via an on-line form, e.g.: If you are resitting examinations If you have extenuating circumstances that may have affected examination performance. Please note the COVID-19 pandemic in itself will not be considered as an extenuating circumstance.• If there are circumstances that you feel the Admissions team should be aware of If you are sitting other A-levels, or equivalent level 3 qualifications, to those already achieved/sat If you are an applicant (often international) who cannot offer GCSEs/IGCSEs, or offer limited GCSEs/iGCSEs, please upload school year 10 and/or 11 transcript/s of subjects and marks, or alternative qualifications. Dentists and graduate applicants applying to the A101 programme will be expected to complete the A101 applicant on-line form."

All the best for you

so as a non-contextual application do I need to fill out a form or is it okay ?

Reply 14

My daughter is also a non-contextual applicant and has no other specific circumstances to inform the University, so she didn't fill out any additional forms. However, you may want to double-check with the admission team.

okay thank you so much I filled out the enquiry form just to check with the uni and will update if they give any info

I contacted them after seeing this post and had this reply

We had an additional online form on our website from September up until the UCAS closing date for Medicine applications. Please note the form was not to be filled in by all applicants - only those that had reason to do so. This includes, resit applicants, Overseas applicants supplying transcripts and those with extenuating circumstances that have affected periods of study.

If you think you need to let them know something best to send an email.

I also spoke to admissions and he said they expect to send out interview offers in January

Hope this helps
