What University's can I apply to for Law with these Stats?

Hi guys!

I'm currently in y13 and about to apply to university but I'm unsure where to apply to.

GCSES-999988875 (5 in German)
ALEVEL Predicted A*A*A*

I was thinking of applying to LSE, Durham, Manchester, Warwick and York but I'm not sure if I would stand a chance of getting in. If not where else could I apply?

Any help is appreciated thank you :smile:

I don’t see anything wrong with these choices. Your stats are fine but be aware that your LNAT score will play a role in your admissions decision for Durham and LSE. For LSE in particular, a lot of emphasis is placed on your PS, so I would recommend trying to perfect that if you wish to maximise your chances of obtaining an offer. Warwick tends to be quite competitive, despite it not being an LNAT university or particularly highly ranked for law, but I think you can afford to take that risk. Assuming you aren’t eligible for contextual offers, 4/5 of your choices require A*AA at A level. You may wish to swap out one of these options for a slightly safer option in terms of grade requirements (e.g. another AAA course like York’s or an AAB course) in order to have a safety option that can act as your insurance. Some safety options could include Lancaster, Leicester, Nottingham and Liverpool. Best of luck to you - I’ve also applied to study law for 2025 entry :smile:

Thank you so much, this is so helpful! I was considering maybe applying to Newcastle too as I'm from here and I know they have already began to give out offers ( I think Liverpool have too) so that could definitely be an option for an insurance. Lancaster's undergrad Law course entry requirements are currently AAB. Lancaster's next open day is 12th October 2024 if you would like to come onto campus to have a look around and see if you like it or not. I would say if you are eligible for contextual offers, Lancaster does a scheme (that I have personally been on) called the Lancaster Access Program (LAP) Lancaster Access Programme - Lancaster University that currently reduces grades.

Update I ended up applying to LSE Durham Warwick for law and then Manchester and York law and criminology! So far I've got an offer from Warwick and not heard from anywhere else 😬
