A level options- Thinking Bio, Psychology, and Sociology/Chem

I've been struggling to decide whether I wanted to do Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, or Bio, Psychology and Sociology.

I really thinking Sociology A-Lvel sounds rlly interesting and I think i would actually prefer to do it over Chemistry, but does anyone think it's respected? (as well as all the other subjects like Chem, Bio and Psychology!)

However I feel like Chemistry gets you more places, and is more useful, but I dont really know what I want to do in the future so I'm struggling on whether to choose Chem or Psychology 😫

Is Biology, Psychology and Sociology a good combo? Where can it get you? Or is it safer to choose Chemistry instead of Psychology in that combo, will it open more doors for me?

Thank you for any advice!!!! <333🥰
Which subject do you prefer? As you’re unlikely to have much experience of sociology you cant really reflect on it as a subject but you could for chemistry- do you enjoy it and excel at it at gcse?
For both subjects: read through the spec and see if it interests you; watch some YouTube videos from students who’ve taken the subject and see what you can get from their experiences; look at some past papers to see if the questioning style appeals to your strength.
Any ideas on what you want to do at uni? Fine if not.
@always-anxious takes bio, psych and sociology so might have some input 🙂
I agree with what DerDracologe has previously said about reading through the spec etc.

I study sociology as well and I enjoy it lot; I find it really interesting  I find it also goes well with the other subjects I study (psych and bio) so I'm learning both scientific and abstract skills thanks to the combination of subjects I study. It's much easier to study for a subject if you enjoy the subject

Whether sociology or chemistry will be better for you depends on what you want to do in the future. Sociology is quite a versatile subject and I find it to be useful because it educates us more about real life and why our society functions the way it does. Personally, I want to study psychology in the future and sociology helps me with this as I get a deeper understanding into social aspects of psychology. Of course your goals will be different to mine; I'm just giving you my experience with the subject  In this case, sociology is an a-level qualification so I don't see why it wouldn't be respected :hmmmm2:

Sorry I can't give any information on chemistry! It is a subject I have no experience in at a-level :blushing:

If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer the best I can

If you want to follow a STEM path take Chemistry and Biology.
You can go into some stem fields with bio and psych but chem would give you more options
