Do I have a chance to study law at Cambridge?

I am in year 13, studying English Literature, Politics, and History (predicted A*A*A)
In the LNAT, I tend to get around 26-32, and on two occasions, I got 28+ on Arbitio.
My GCSEs were 999776666 (9s being in Eng lit, Eng lang, and History), and I would say I did well compared to the average at my (state) school.
This year, I was awarded in the Law Oxford essay competition and the History Cambridge Essay competition, both are in my personal statement.

I am wondering if my GCSE grades which aren't 'Cambridge standards' would hinder much chance at a 'good' application?
You sound like a competitive candidate. GCSEs are only part of the picture.

Give it a go, and good luck!

Well, the GCSEs that they care about are usually English and math, and the one relevant to your degree you already have an amazing score for. I would say, having looked at many "can I get into Oxford/cambridge" posts, yours seems like one of the most competitive. You should apply, and I think you have a good chance!

No worries. Have a look at Emmanuel College (they have a swimming pool and free laundry).

It doesn’t seem very oversubscribed? Maybe I’m wrong

I don't think so. For law, the popular ones tend to be Downing and some of the central ones.

hello! imo you def have chance! don’t worry too much about gcses because they def contextualise them. i’d say focus on doing lots and lots of extra reading on a niche topic of law that you enjoy because i feel like cambridge favors applicants who do that - very best luck in your application!
