How do i get access to actual scholarly articles if I'm not in university

The course i'm doing is with a technical college for a level 4 in healthcare practice. They say they want these kinds of sources but every time I try to open one that looks good I either hit a paywall or it asks me which university I'm studying at. I usually just end up wasting 30 mins looking for the article then give up and search for some sort of government website or official authority for a report of some description.

ResearchGate is a pretty useful website for many scientific papers, I'd recommend checking that out but it really depends on the specific articles you're looking for.

Google Scholar is a great source too

Your local library will have access to some too
