Natural Sciences at Cambridge with 3 A-levels?

Hi,

I hear almost all successful applicants (on TikTok etc) to Cambridge's natural sciences course have done 4 A-levels (Mathematics, Further Maths, Physics and Chem). I am studying Physics, Further and Maths. Is the Cambridge dream over?

I’ve seen people get into NatSci with three A-Levels, you will probably be fine if that’s the norm at your school

That’s one of the recommended subject combinations on Cambridges Nat sci page. Do most people at your school do three subjects or 4? Also have a look at first year modules and see which ones appeal to you- can you do enough modules of interest?

At my lads place, 3 went to cam this year and the one who is doing nat sci did 3 so m/fm/phy. They all do 4 to as, then decide if they want to drop one.

I think a majority do 3. A couple do 4 but are looking to drop or aren't taking a relevant 4th to Nat Sci (i.e French). There are a fare few modules that genuinely interest me- that's why I was genuinely annoyed to hear about the 4 recommendation- and I believe that I have the motivation to succeed within them ygwim

You should be fine for subject combo in that case. Best of luck with everything
