Cambridge college

Hi guys,

I'm applying to Cambridge for HSPS, predicted 3 A*

I'm quite liberal and sporty so I don't mind being not so close to the centre of town bc I can cycle, walk etc. I'm deciding on what college to apply for, I'm hesitating because Kings seems like a good fit, but I'm worried there might be a lot of pressure to perform well like at Trinity. I can get overwhelmed really easily due to my autism so I guess I was guess wondering if anyone who has applied or is at Cambridge could give me some advice on what college to pick?
I did go to an Open Day but it was last summer and I don't really remember much.

Thank you so much

The Colleges are all very much more similar than they are different, they are all liberal, accommodate autism, are social, welcoming etc, etc. If sports are an interest, depending which one, you might choose a College close to its playing fields (if you play a sport that needs them) or that has a good gym, or the ti near the university gym etc. But otherwise, architecture, scarf colour, gardens etc are perfectly valid ways.

If I were you, I'd have a look at Homerton. It's a little further out of the centre (less than 10 minutes by bike tho), but it's a really liberal college. Also close to uni sports facilities, and it has a lot of green space that is used for sports as well. Definitely worth looking at, although I'm sure there are more colleges that fit your requirements!

(Also, they are quite famous for their incredible welfare support, and there are lots of resources/help available for neurodivergent students as well!)

Agreed, and the grounds, facilities, dining hall, library, accommodation etc there are really good. The accommodation is also one of the cheapest in Cambridge.
