5th choice university

I would like to apply to Liverpool John Moores university for pharmacy (mpharm) as a fifth choice in my medicine application and I have contacted them asking if they would like a separate personal statement or if my medicine related personal statement was enough but they were a bit vague about it and said to make sure my UCAS personal statement is suitable to all courses I apply for so I am unsure on what to do at this point as your personal statement obviously has to mention medicine primarily. I do have some work experience in a pharmacy.

Should I look into another university? Any suggestions if so?

Hi there!

Most (if not all) other universities you would look at for pharmacy would require the same statement as you will be using for medicine, so regardless you will be in the same situation.

My advice to you would be to definitely relate your personal statement to medicine if that is the course you really want. However, do add bits in that would be beneficial for a pharmacy degree also. If you have work experience in a pharmacy, definitely add it onto your statement as I think it could also help towards medicine as well.

Hopefully this helps a bit!
