Oxbridge 2025 entry

Hi due to it being the first cycle where oxbridge use the ucat i’m wondering what the predicted ucat cutoff may be and if it’s worth applying. I’m also finding it quite difficult to understand the process by which interviews are selected for each - ie how important are gcses, predicted grades etc
my gcses were 6A* and 2A, my alevels predicted at 4A* in bio, maths, chem and french. my ucat was 2830 b1 and i’d say my personal statement is quite strong.
please could somebody advise me if it’s worth applying to either and what the process and predicted ucat for each may be.

The honest answer is no one knows ! It’s up to you whether to risk it as one of your four, if you do ensure others are safer as with that ucat and GCSE’s you should be able to get interviews. But every year there are candidates with strong ucats who don’t get any offers and it’s heart breaking. It all depends on who else applies, and how interviews go
