Computer science entry 2025

Hi guys I’m a year 13 with predicted A*A*A*A in maths computer science economics and further maths. I didn’t do amazingly at gcses compared my schools average(very strong school), especially in English related subjects. (I got 3 6’s) and the rest was 789. I want to apply UCL,KCL,Bristol Southampton and Durham. Do I have a good chance?

Nobody can say for sure, but you should be okay.
Hello!

What an amazing set of grades, huge kudos for all the hard work you must have put in to earn them. As has been said its impossible to tell who will give you an offer, but if you achieve grades in that ballpark then I'm confident you'll be in with a very good chance.

However I'd recommend being sensible with your UCAS choices such that you don't apply for unis who all have very high requirements. I would advise applying to 1-2 ambitious choices such as Bristol, Kings or UCL (Bath if of interest!), 1-2 with requirements at or slightly lower than you're predicted such as Southampton and Durham, but also apply to 1-2 safety net choices with grades a little lower than you're predicted such as AAA-AAB, just in case things don't go your way on results day. However this is entirely up to you and it sounds like you have a great selection already!

Very best of luck!
