Lnat issue

I did my LNAT today, MCQ went alright had to guess last 3 or 4 questions. The real issue is the essay. I think it was a good essay tbh but at the start of it typed up my plan and then at the end I had like ten seconds to remove it, and I was frantic so didn't delete all of it. So there is 1 line of my essay plan attached to my intro. Do you think examiners will be able to distinguish the essay from the plan and if they aren't is it a big problem?

They'll be a bit confused but I'm sure they'll be able to distinguish it as the plan. Did you leave a space inbetween, like a line?

I didn't get to cuz I deleted most of the plan and then the rest of it just attached to my first paragraph so idk if they'll be able to distinguish it. But the rest of my essay obviously sounds different so hopefully they don't deep it.

I have an older friend who had the same issue and he got into Oxford so it is definitely something they're used to

You absolute legend you just removed like half the worry I had over the exam. The MCQ section though I hope that **** went well I just don't know cuz I had to guess the last few questions cuz of time and I don't know how many marks I would have lost on the other sections of the exam tbh, but I'm aiming for 28 and above.

glad I was able to help 😂 he did get a high score too (33 I think)

What did you use to prepare for the LNAT? Did you find the test similar to the official papers on the LNAT website? or harder/easier?

I used arbitio mainly and used this website called oxbridge mind also. The real test was easier than Arbitio in my opinion and easier than the papers on the official website as well but honestly not by much. There was still questions I found difficult in distinguishing between two right answers which will could be part of my downfall, God forbid. But yeah for the most part I'd say it was slightly easier than online resources. Passages were incredibly long for some reason I had to scroll on every passage. Hoping I get the same score as your friend fr, but I think the rushing from like question 34 onwards might have screwed me over. But hopefully it goes well.

were the essay topics similar to those on Arbitio? The essay is my weakest point I think. I really don't know how to prepare for weird prompts.

Honest I'm not sure because I didn't really use arbitio for any practice essays but all the options I got were pretty doable tbh. Just take a few minutes to plan you'll be alright. They weren't super generic questions but they weren't mind-boggling either. I don't wanna say more than that cuz I don't wanna break the NDA. Good luck for the exam though, when do you have it?

I did my LNAT this Monday and I think one of the questions I got was similar to Arbitio but many people get essay questions starting with 'should ...'. Popular topics include education, legislation, prison rights, media, gender issues etc. Some of these topics may also be asked together in one question such as 'Should prison guards treat female prisoners differently than male prisoners' (I made this question up on the spot so its very unlikely you would get asked this question). So my advice would be look at questions that can be asked as 'should ...'. However I am only speaking from my experience so don't just do the topics I told you and try to do practice essays on more topics. Wishing you the best on your LNAT!!
