Bristol's web page at https://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/outreach/post-16/nextstep/ gives a contact email address of [email protected] You could send them an email and politely enquire as to when they'll be making a decision and when they'll be notifying applicants.

As to a UCAS application, there's obviously some urgency if you're putting in an application where the deadline is 6pm on 15th October; but if not, then the equal consideration deadline is 29th January.

We find out by the 11 of October. Explain to your school your situation and tell them it will be submitted straight after.

do you think it will be on 11 october or before ? cus i told them but they’re saying they have to verify 100s of applications just being really annoying. but 11 october isnt that bad

I think your fine to send you application before the 11th. I did and Bristol gave me an offer this time last week (not for next step, an actually offer) but I think still consider you for the programme

Are you applying for a course that requires the Ucas application be submitted before the 6pm on 15th October deadline? (for example, courses at Oxford or Cambridge, or medical/dental/vet courses?)

Would you be applying to Bristol only if you're accepted onto the Next Step Bristol programme?

Fair enough.

Is your application ready to the point where you just need to put in the universities you're applying to -- everything else is in place (e.g. personal statement, etc)? Do you know if your school has got their reference ready to add?

I think you just need to make sure your school knows why you're waiting, so they can do what's left quickly once you've made your decision.

To be honest, if your school has "hundreds" of pupils for whom the 15th October deadline applies then they're leaving things it a bit late if they need to process all of them in a week.

yeah i’ve got everything like put in place and its really annoying cus like my teachers submitted my reference but my school still hasn’t like gone over it and verified
i feel like they’re lowkey procrastinating because my friend submitted last week but still hasnt had his application sent to uni. so yeah thanks though made me realise i’ve done my bit not my fault they’re taking so long to go through it

hi guys i got a email back too! Though what do they mean by,

“You will be eligible to receive a guaranteed contextual offer in more than one subject with us, providing you meet the terms of the offer (excludes Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary Sciences unless this was your original application subject).”

does this mean I have the meet the standard UCAT threshold or is it different?

Thank you but (As I think i mentioned in my post) I only got the offer last week 😅. Sorry to hear that you got rejected. Wish you the best of luck with your other choices. (2610 on the ucat is still pretty good from what I hear)
