STEP for Peterhouse engineering?

I saw on the Peterhouse website that they may ask for you to do STEP to get in. How likely is this?

In 2021 and 2022, all applicants that received offers had to sit the STEP as part of their conditional offer.

It doesn't have information for 2023 or 2024 but to answer your question, extremely likely, if not definitely.

All offers include a requirement to achieve a grade 2 in STEP 2, however most offer holders dont achieve this (only about 20%) and peterhouse just look at your answers to see how you think and write rather than caring about the grade

so does that mean peterhouse give more offers than places? Do they actually filter people based on step or do they just ask all offer holders to do it? Also, if you got a low ESAT grade, does the step requirement mean that peterhouse are more likely than other colleges to give you a conditional offer?
