I want to do architecture at Manchester

So at first I wanted to do design engineering but that required maths and so that wasn’t an option anymore

This led me to want to do architecture at Manchester university since I like the the area and it’s close to home, and it’s a top university as my parents want me to get into one, however since it’s part of the Russell group I’m not sure I can get in with the a-levels that I do

The a-levels that I do are
Product design (D&T) A
Photography A/A*
Engineering btech distinction

Now I don’t think that the grades are much of an issue, I’m just not sure my subjects match up with the course as they prefer maths art and physics (I literally take none of them) and I don’t know what other university I could go to without disappointing my parents

Can someone please tell me if they have any similar experiences or any help?

Email admissions at Manchester and ask if your subjects meet the entry requirements. You should be fine as they prefer (not require) maths and physics.

There are a lot of other unis you could consider for architecture:

Hi! I'm Charlotte, a year 2 Graphic Design Student from Norwich Uni of Arts.

That's great to hear that you're thinking of taking a creative course at uni! Have you considered us?

You can request one of our prospectuses for free here: Norwich Uni Arts prospectus or find a list of our open days on our website.

Likewise, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck on choosing a uni!
