Did you get an interview?

I ranked 41 for genomics and on reserve list… should I assume that’s me out of the running? I think they’ve shortlisted about 33 people as one of my colleagues was shortlist reserve and ranked 34 but doesn’t want the role anymore due to a better job offer

So do we actually know if rank matters for the people who have an interview? Like is our overall score application rank + interview or does everyone who got an interview have an equal chance of getting a post?

Would anyone from neuro care to share their rank . Shortlist reserve rank 16 for 9 posts, trying to make it make sense

I believe they don't matter past interviews, and final posts are assigned according to the interview ranks

I'd bet money that a post has been withdrawn and the location list hasn't been updated yet. I know this is true of some other specialisms e.g. bioinformatics

I wonder why they tell us then? I am really hoping this is true as I ranked bottom half. Super pleased to get an interview but a bit thrown to be ranked low after the job of yesterday tbh..

If it was 3 people offered interview then I think I could have been offered. Theres 16 places, 16x3 is 48 and my score is lower than that?

Maybe that would be more than 2 posts removed ? 😏

It happens unfortunately. I know people who have applied and then by this stage in the process the only locations they wanted have been withdrawn ☹️

What's your rank?

i think its so those that are reserve know how good of a chance they have! i also appreciate it because knowing i ranked low and got an interview means i know i need to work harder on the interview to match the quality of the other applicants
