TMUA for LSE 2025 entry

Hi. I was just wondering, for LSE Financial Math and Stats 2025 entry, is the TMUA (which is recommended not mandatory) something that will automatically be sent to LSE?

I heard usually you can chose not to submit it but on the form for the application it says they will automatically receive the score so no need to send.

Hi, yes it will be. What sort of GCSE and A-level predictions do you have? (as LSE is known for placing more emphasis on academics than TMUA for this kind of course)

Oof. My tmua wasnt great tbh. I have 3 A* pred Math FM Econ, and at GCSE 3 A*s 5As 1C (have an extenuating circumstance). I spoke with a few people with better grades than me that got rejected for the course so I have no hope tbh.

Have people have been rejected by LSE already? or are you referring to previous students?

Tbh I'm probably one of the only people applying to LSE that thinks my PS is absolute vomit. Its not impressive at all really, structured very sharply as in it doesn't flow well, and prob just mediocre at best. I have ofc spoken about personal research on advanced math topics out of my spec + stats on finance etc and relevant activities but everyone applying to top unis have that- its like the bare minimum then ontop they flash the Gold UKMTs etc. All there is really is my being top like 3% in my state school on my decent reference but my school overpredicted tons of people and I didn't even know things like UKMT etc while I was younger despite being good at math. Just wasnt rlly pushed ever on it or notified so no impressive awards either.

A friend of ours (home, non-contextual) had a rejection from LSE (for Econ) last week. With strong TMUA & application

Waiting mainly for just Imperial now. Id probably firm Imperial but am unlikely to try very hard for an A* in FM as LSE only asks for an A. (Not rlly taking anyones spot as I'm not competitive so prob wont get an offer anyways)

Nope. UCL Ima prob withdraw as I know offers will come out quite late for my course (M/S i spoke to students on the course most got theirs in April). I didnt apply to Warwick cause I wanted to go uni in London. Not too bothered with LSE for math. Spoken to a quant from LSE and solong as you can prove your smart u can make it to a decent job. Maybe not the top firms but for that even Warwick would make it- strict oxbridge imperial criteria alot.
