I know the story but not the movie title. Help!!!!

When i was a kid, REALLY YOUNG, I watched this movie with my parents. It went something like this: so there's this old man and he starts telling this little boy stories and the stories come to life. I distinctly remember a rabbit?? So it was a mix of reality and cartoon and was really interesting. But the mother didn't approve and sent the man away. The boy got somewhat depressed and idk how but ended up in a bulls paddock and he almost got killed. On his deathbed the mother invited the old man back to say his goodbyes but then the boy miraculously got better.

I LITERALLY CANT FIND WHICH MOVIE THIS IS. IVE BEEN WONDERING FOR YEARS. PLZ HELP!!!
Is it not the agony of the dying daughter??

I put it into ChatGPT and it got ‘Song of the South’, which it has described like this:
‘It sounds like you’re describing the movie “Song of the South” (1946). In this film, an elderly man named Uncle Remus tells folktales to a young boy named Johnny. The stories come to life in animated sequences, featuring characters like Br’er Rabbit. The movie mixes live action and animation, and the relationship between the boy and Uncle Remus creates tension with the boy’s mother, who disapproves of the storytelling.

In the film, there’s a scene where Johnny is injured after running away and falling into a paddock with a bull, and he nearly dies. In the end, Uncle Remus is brought back to see Johnny on his deathbed, but Johnny recovers after hearing his favorite story.

Does that sound like the movie you’re thinking of?‘
