Hi everyone,
I am Grace, currently in my 2
nd year studying fashion promotion and communication here at Kingston. This is what a typical day looks like when I am on campus.
0800-0845 Wake up and get ready.
0845-0945 I aim to get about an hour of work done before my lecture, either working on my projects or preparing work for the day. Sometimes I will go to the library, but most days I will just do it from my room.
1000-1200 This will be the first lecture/workshop of the day. Currently we are working on a group project creating an exhibition. So today we were given some advice on how to present our team pitch next week and provided with more research resources. We then worked in our groups brainstorming and planning until it was our turn to speak to the lectures about our ideas and get some feedback.
1200-1300 Lunch time! I am lucky to live near the campus, so me and my friend usually go back to my flat for some lunch.
1300-1500 This was my second lecture/workshop of the day. Our group continued to work on and develop our ideas and got some more feedback from the other lecturers.
1500-1700 After classes I try and go to the library to continue working on my projects. I either go to the Knights Park or Penrhyn Road library as I find can really concentrate there and get so much more work done.
1700-1800 This is around the time me and my flatmates have tea/dinner. We have started doing a meal each throughout the week to save time, money and electricity, so it is nice to all eat together and catch up on our days.
1800-2000 Today I had cheerleading practice; I am on the university team. However, on days when I don’t, I usually go back to the library with my flatmates or go to the pub depending on the day.
2030-2230 Once I was back, I had a snack, watched some tv and got ready for bed.
This is pretty much a typical day when I have a full day on campus, of course every day is really different but I hope this gives an idea of what a day may look like.
