Mathematical physics without further maths

I’m about to apply to uni and I’m applying to Oxford for materials science, Bristol for chemical physics and then Southampton, Glasgow and Edinburgh for mathematical physics. My A levels are maths, physics, chemistry with an EPQ and I’m predicted 4A*s. As the title says, I haven’t done further maths even though my school offers it l. My question(s) is, am I significantly less likely to get into these courses and if I do, will I really struggle? I find standard A level maths incredibly easy and I’d be prepared to teach my self some of FM to prepare for these courses. Thanks in advance

Your subjects are fine for the Oxford and Bristol courses. For the mathematical physics ones, they might say that Further maths is recommended (Edinburgh says this) but to be honest I think you might be fine given that you have 3A* predicted and it's probably a less competitive course. Are your GCSEs good?

Is FM stated as 'required' or 'preferred' for any of these courses?
