Why would a guy want to change you and see you in make-up; doesn't he consider you attractive when natural? It has its place, but him 'always' saying about it would get me annoyed.

It’s satisfactory vs maximum utility.

I like women with a lot of eye makeup and I’ve told women to before. It’s not a reflection of finding a woman unattractive, it’s just a preference or expectation.

Personally, I also think the narrative that couples should not put lots of effort in is one of the reasons so many relationships fail today. While it’s correct that you should not require beauty standards and be comfortable, the mark of desirability for me is that I want to get bigger muscles for the girl I’m with and likewise a woman should ideally want to look as attractive as possible for as long as possible.

'Look' attractive? Don't you mean people should 'be' attractive for as long as possible?

What would you do if you met a fabulous woman who wore very little eye make-up? You'd still like them, wouldn't you? Warpaint is just surface.

Yes but as I said it's satisfactory vs maximum utility. I would view her as very attractive already but that doesn't mean that makeup would not make her even better. Why would I not want that outcome if I believe she'll do it for me.
