Been put in hold by Bristol

I applied to do economics at Bristol and today I have just received an email saying I’ve been put on hold. I know information online says this doesn’t really impact chances of getting an offer, but how true actually is this. Has anyone else also recently got this email

Glad I’m not alone, if you don’t mind me asking would grades did you apply with and what grades do they want

I applied with 3A* and they want AAA. I’ve read it something to do with waiting for more people to apply before handing offers out.
What about you?

3A*s as well, I’d assume it’s just because we’ve applied so early. No benefit to them handing out applications already

I got one for neuroscience today too, they seem to be a copy paste automatic response lol

Yeah exactly, getting the impression its nothing to worry about. Even though we are on hold, it does mean our applications have met the criteria for the course, over wise we would have been rejected. So I guess its almost positive news, but frustrating none the less lol
