Considering taking politics for a level but not sure. Is it worth taking?
I took politics a-level and did the exams this summer. I really enjoyed the course, a very interesting and generally respected subject but it is very content heavy so you need to keep on top of work from the start. If youre interested in current affairs and how government/politics works, I'd say its a good choice

Thx! Also, will it close more doors than it will open if I have a change of heart and I dont want to pursue politics after A level?

I don’t think it would close more doors, lots of my friends who also did politics have gone on to do degrees in subjects like law, economics, english lit, languages, history etc!
I see you have already had a great reply! Just thought I'd add my input.😊
I personally took politics A-level and found it extremely interesting. I didn't know much, if anything, about politics before my A-levels, now I feel I have an greater grasp on how our system works. I found it extremely applicable in all my other subjects as politics has a huge impact on our society.
I definitely agree that a politics A-level is useful if you wish to study law, English literature, economics, history and more. I even find the knowledge I gained in politics comes to use in my business degree!
I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions, -Sophia (Business and Management)
