Confusion

I really need an opinion about this guy.
I would explain shortly, we have met each other since high school. He sent me friend request on Facebook but I did not accept,as he was on relationship with a girl from my class.She was not my friend.
Then in uni ,I was in the city and we saw each other amd since then we have texted on and off.He broke up in the end of high school with this girls.
So he sent me message and we talked but still I was saying that could not have sth with him due to this girl.
Then I got on relationship,but after I broke up ,we started to message again.
Then I went abroad to study but still we were texting.
During corona I had a situationship, after I broke up from it,we started again.We met and uad our first kiss.Then we had a pause ,started this year to talk.Two weeks ago I was back to my country we met each other and I was staying in Airbnb and he stayed the night with me.We kissed and cuddled,but no sex.I could not sleep ,I was feeling anxious.I do not know if it was a signal because of him or I was anxious.
He cuddled me and stayed all night near me touching my hand.
In the morning he put hic head to my chest and then went to the toilet.After that he had to go at work so we kissed and I asked him to stay a little bit.We kissed, touched and cuddled.I asked him what did he think of me.He said that he would tell during lunch.As I had not slept and I had some work to do during the day ,I was waiting him in a cafe , he aske me if I wanted to go to his house(which is new,he just bought it) to sleep.
I went there,but when he came to pick me up ,he did not kiss me and was very cold.Then at home I lied in his bed and he came and we just hugged.I asked him about the answer ,but he told me to relax.
I felt very bad as he did not answer and no kiss.
I had my flight in one hour so I got up and get ready, but was a bit angry with him.He asked what was wrong but I did not tell anything.I n the airport I said I do not like to be lied.Again he did not answer and he kissed me in the neck and I went to catch my flight.
We have two days now writing,but today in the evening after he finished work he did not write to me anymore.
I do not know why he invited to his house? Also he does not call me? I would like to have an opinion ,should I ask him what we are? Why his behaviour is like this?
