Need Advice!

I'm looking for some impartial advice in regards to a decision I need to make.

For context, last year was my second year at University studying Primary Education (5-11) and training to be a teacher. Unfortunately, due to personal issues, I didn't manage to pass my placement required to move to the next stage of study. As it was only my placement that I failed, I was given 2 choices: resit the placement or move courses to Early Childhood Studies (0-8) and continue in 3rd year. Initially, I chose the latter, but now I am coming to regret that choice. The course is harder than I initially thought and it's straining my mental health.

I've spoken to my tutors about this and we've come up with 2 further options: transfer from full time to part time study and complete the 3rd year of my degree in Early Childhood Studies or transfer back to Primary Education (5-11) and complete my 2nd year placement before moving on to third year. I'm not sure which to choose, but ultimately it could impact my career tremendously as well as my mental health.

For more context, let me know
