Semi target uni

So im at durham studying Economics and mathematics bsc currently in year 1, and I came to know that it’s a ‘semi target’ uni for investment banking. Will it be worth it to do an Msc from LSE or UCL after graduating? Will it be hard to find graduate jobs in investment baking or private equity?

Getting a job in IB or PE is difficult even for students at the very top universities. Going to a top university doesn't necessarily make it much easier, you still have to do each company's tests/interviews/assessment centers/etc.

The most sensible strategy is to accumulate as much relevant work experience in the early years of your degree (e.g. spring internships in first year, then summer internships/placement years in your second year). Typically, after second year internships where you have performed well, you receive offers to return upon graduation. Only if you haven't had much luck by the end of second year, should you start considering a master's (and where).
