6 Form / State or Private for medicine

Hello,
I am currently in year 11 looking at 6 forms for next year. I am lucky enough to choose to go to a state or private 6 form. I want to become a doctor; therefore, my choice of 6 form is very important! Ive heard that going to a state 6 form when applying would make it easier for me to get into the course as they have to give a certain amount of state places. The nearest state 6 form is very very good and offers good support whilst doing my application. However, is it better to remain private and go somewhere like Epsom College? But because i would be coming from a private school is it harder? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME? I'M APPLYING RN
There is zero advantage of state versus private for applications. Contextual factors apply and are not dependent on the type of school. The support you get for medical school application differs and that matters a lot. You need to look for a school that has a lot of prospective medics so there are talks, mock MMIs etc.. provided. Also you need to get a least AAA so you need to go to the school that will get you there. Work experience they won’t help you with you have to arrange that yourself.

Look at leavers destinations and see how many medics and where they go to. Private schools will provide this I find state schools do not.
