I’m Stuck (PQIP, Think Ahead, Masters)

So I’ve just graduated uni with a First in Criminology and Criminal Behaviour. I really didn’t know where to begin my journey, but I knew I wanted to work either within mental healthcare (preferred) or within the Social Work or Probation sectors.
I initially wanted to go onto Counselling/Psychotherapy Masters but I need experience to go into that area and I only have a ‘Awareness of Mental Health Issues’ level two certificate.
In addition, I obviously don’t have an income rn so I need to do something that’s going to allow me to progress into a career (e.g. a fast track system) and receive a salary at the same time.
I applied for the PQIP, Frontline, and have yet to apply for the Think Ahead program.
I’ve got through to the assessment centre of both the PQIP and Frontline programmes, and after researching the Frontline programme a little more I realised it was an area I didn’t want to go into, so now I’m waiting to do the PQIP one and apply for the Think Ahead program.
However, issues have arised. I don’t think I’m going to get through vetting for the PQIP because I don’t have a good credit score and I’ve realised that you apparently need GCSE Maths for the Think Ahead programme- which I don’t have.
I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on what the heck I can do😂 I don’t want to move backwards after I’ve just gained my degree.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Hi...I work for probation at the moment but looking to switch to social work, so have looked at Think Ahead...I'd sayThink Ahead/social work likely has more career options long term plus it's a masters degree not the same level as you've already got.
Probation is a bit limited after you're qualified unless you want to go into management roles
and the pay doesn't go up much either.

Could you look into getting your maths GCSE?

I'm not sure how much of problem a bad credit score would be for probation, seems a bit harsh to exclude people for that...although we do have advanced vetting to access some of the Police database info
