Alternatives to Student Finance?

Being a Muslim, one of the most difficult aspects of applying to uni is the funding, as I can't apply for Student Finance, as paying interest on loans is forbidden. What sharia-compliant forms of financial support (other than bursaries, grants and scholarships) are available?

Alternative student finance has been 'under consideration' for many many years and there is still no set date for when it will be introduced.

This thread was from October when no announcement had been made. But the date has been pushed back again. The LLE needs to be in place first and that has been moved to Jan 2027 from 2025.
