IB points at UK universities for history

Hi there. I am an IB student with predicted 41 points and have been told by my school that a lot of my options for unis are a bit of a reach. I was wondering if anybody that got into my options for history has a similar grade as me. My options are Edinburgh, St Andrews, King’s College London, Oxford and Durham. I understand that meeting entry requirements doesn’t guarantee you a place but surely having 3-5 points above gives you an advantage? Thank you

Hi, im also an IB student with predicted 41 points but im applying for psychology. I have recently received offers for both durham and st andrews, so those are definitely possible. My brother got 41 predicted last year, and he is now studying at Edinburgh for philosophy and linguistics. So i think that as long as you have a good personal statement, and you have atleast one 7 in your HLs, you should be fine. Im also assuming that entry requirements for history are fairly similar to that of psychology.
