UAT-UK admissions - ESAT 2024 - questions?

I cant seem to find anything on the in-betweens for the test.
- Can we take breaks in between sections? Like especially for bathroom breaks.
- Can we choose which sections to do first (Maths/Maths2/Physics for me)
- Are water bottles (clear) or stationary allowed in the exam?
- Will they provide us with working paper (plain??lined??)
Just stressing over small things as the test is this coming week. any answers will be appreciated

i'm not doing esat, i'm doing tmua but the exam format should be the same! i'm not sure about the first couple of questions but i don't think water bottles are allowed in the exam and yes, we are provided with an erasable notebook for working i believe! we will also be provided with a pen so no need for stationery. hope this helps and good luck!!

I just did the esat, i think u could probably ask for a break in between modules? But I'm not sure if this would be taken from the test time so maybe ask before u go into the exam. I couldn't see anywhere to choose the order of the sections, they just come up one after the other (altho maths 1 is first). No to water bottles and they provide a laminated notebook thing (mine had squares but im not sure if that's the same for every test centre) and a whiteboard pen. idk if this is too late but good luck anyway!!)

Would you say it had the same level of complexity than Engaa papers?

I didn't actually do any engaa papers as im applying to vet medicine so i did bio and chem instead of physics and maths 2. but id say they were similar in difficulty to nsaa questions, just more of them ofc! I would recommend practicing past papers with 1.5 minutes per question as this is what u get in the actual exam. Hope this helps a bit and good luck!!

How was it

I found it very similar to past nsaa questions, the time pressure was obviously a lot trickier tho especially for maths. chemistry and biology weren't so bad!
For maths 1

Do you remember any quesrikns

i personally won't be telling people the individual questions cos i don't wanna disadvantage/advantage anyone unfairly, but i will say it's similar to the nsaa and they test an equal amount of the different topics so it's not like it was weighted towards one topic. Just brush up on gcse knowledge and practice in timed conditions and u should be good. Good luck!! 🙂

Perfecto that’s what I meant by the way like the structure 👍

For students who have taken ESAT, DO NOT share any exam content or comments since ESAT made it very clear that once found out your UCAS application will be withdrawn.

I just sat my ESAT!! I think time pressure is the main concern as with past NSAA papers etc.
Personally, I went took a break to go to the loo and have a leg stretch between sections. After you have used the time and finished the section you’re taken to another screen which you then have to click a button to say “yes I want to end this section” when on this screen you aren’t being timed so I went to the loo, moved about a bit and mentally prepared for the next section.
Water bottles for me had to be kept by the invigilator person so I could only have a drink when I went to the loo/ left the exam room.
Hope this helps!!!

Omg thank you so so much for this. this is the first I've seen on this and I was so worried as I normally go loo quite often. I hope it went well for you it must feel so nice to have it done haha I cant wait.
