Be honest

We are going to be all out truthful here:

Does appearance matter when dating/getting a girlfriend.

Things such as weight, waist size, glasses, extensions (nails, hair, eyelashes) skincare, chest/booty size, aesthetic.

Or does personality overall appearance?

Let me know <33

Ps- this is not for the intention to harm anyone, it is just a topic for discussion snd not pointed at a specific person/group of people.
I do think appearance is important. But after dating, it's personality. In the end, everyone ages, but personality never does. I think the other thing we need is cleanliness.

There are preferences but personality matters more

It does but I think its importance dwindles as both get to know themselves more and personality takes over.

This is the reason why you would see a solid 9/10 worldie dating a strong 3/10 lad e.g. Peter Crouch, the footballer

Personally, I need both. I want someone with a happy and responsible personality but also someone whos mindful of how they look like, I'm not saying that they need to be model-shaped or something but someone who at least cares for themselves mentally and physically

you can call me shallow, but it absolutely does. sometimes even more than personality.
I think honestly, looks matter much more when it comes to initially attracting people. I have been told I have quite a crazy personality (I agree lol) but I'm pretty and have a good body, so get asked out a lot. My physically unattractive friends with lovely personalities don't.
Personality matters when I plan a relationship in the long run, the appearance in turn plays an important role, I can't coexist with a girl I am not attract to.

Both looks and personality are important. Physical appearance drives first impressions, has a halo effect and people seem to want to date models. But in a longer term relationship it becomes equal importance
You don't have to ask someone else, ask yourself does appearance matter for you when choosing who you will date? You likely would only be with someone you find attractive and avoid women that you don't.

The answer is pretty obvious that it's the single most important factor(over 90%) that determines whether someone likes you or not. In fact I read a study that it takes people literal seconds to determine whether they like someone or they want a second date. It's evolutionary trait that appearances relay a lot of information such as age, health, strength level etc... and that people with the best traits were more successful in mating just like how selective mating works in other species. Everything matters in looks your ethnicity, your face, your body, your height. You will be judged and are constantly judged on everything.

If someone does not find you physically attractive then no personality would compensate. Only two things can: money and status. In these cases, someone is looking to gain a socio-economic advantage through a transactional relationship. In return for being with someone they become rich themselves and part of a social circle which they would otherwise not have access to. This is probably the case in a lot of marriages and surprisingly are loveless arrangements that don't last very long. Often when the kids grow older or the partner gets what they want(money/status) the relationship ends.
I want to add if you want an example of how much looks matter, look up Jeremy Meeks who was literally a felon who became famouse from his mugshot was released early then became a famous model all from his picture going viral. People didn't care what he was in prison for or that he had gang tattoos all over his body.
