January ESAT for Cambridge Engineering
I want to take a gap year but will be applying for Cambridge engineering this year (2025-26 first year) just as a long shot. Could i do the ESAT in January 2025 and use it for an application to start 2026-27? I cant find a definitive answer on the ESAT website and havent had any responses to question i sent to the college Im applying at.

No, Cambridge require you to sit the exam in the October regardless of which application cycle you apply in. Same way if I want to apply for Maths at Cambridge for 26/27, I cannot do STEP with my A levels in 2025 and use that in my application, Cambridge will require me to do step in 2026, if they make me an offer.
