which universities to apply to with my predicted grades for economics

I take maths further maths, physics and economics and is predicted A* A A A respectively. My gcses are 9888888775 with a 8 in maths and 7 in english. I would like to apply to:
UCL: stats econ and finance
KCL: econ
bath:econ
nottingham:econ
southampton:econ

however my grades aren't that good relative to the students who will apply to these unis and idk what unis to apply to. Im considering switching notts for manchester but I'm considering not to apply to KCL or UCL as i think Im asking for an instant rejection.
Please let me know what you think I should do and any advice is appreciated.

One tactic is to apply to only 2 or 3of your top choices now, and you may get some decisions on those fairly quickly. You can them add the remaining choices more strategically. Just make sure you add the others before the January deadline.

Thanks for your response and this is actually very insightful. I will consider this. btw, do you think im being too ambitious with my choices considering my predicted grades? I am thinking of applying for econ and finance at certain places because of how competitive econ is at university level

Hi just a quick question, even if you’re applying to unis at different times on UCAS, do you still only have to pay one application fee?

Yes - you pay/submit, leaving 1 or more blank choices, and then add the remaining choices before the Jan deadline - just the one fee.
