They are both well respected unis for architecture. Have you been to any open days at Sheffield or Loughborough? Do you prefer to be in a city or on a campus near a town? Have a look through the course modules in details and the staff list for the department - are there any areas/specialisms that particularly appeal to you? Do the unis have links with established architectural practices which might be useful for your placement years?

Hi annastudie,
All of these are very well-respected, amazing universities. It is really down to which one you think will suit you the most. Attending an open day is a great way to get a feel for the university atmosphere and talk to current students and lecturers. If you haven't attended an open day already, I would highly recommend doing so. You can find information about this here: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/undergraduate/visit/open-days

I am currently studying for my MSc in Cancer Biology and Therapeutics at Sheffield, and I also completed my BSc Biochemistry here. That unfortunately means I can't give you any personal experiences relating to architecture, however I have absolutely loved my time as a student at Sheffield. There is a really friendly atmosphere on campus and plenty to do in the city with many nice cafes and restaurants. Sheffield is also very close to the Peak District, and has many lovely parks like Weston Park (which is next to campus) and Endcliffe Park (which is close to Endcliffe Student Village). We also have an award-winning Students' Union, with many societies and sports clubs that are a great way to meet people with similar interests to you

Please do let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you!
Good luck with your university journey,
Sofia (MSc Cancer Biology and Therapeutics/ BSc Biochemistry)
