personal statement - foundation year in STEM

finished a levels on A*AA and i was initially gonna pursue law so i picked all humanity based subjects but i've changed my mind and would rather do smth more STEM based, rn i'm looking at biochemistry in particular but i also wanna keep my options up for physics as well. is it possible to tailor my personal statement to all of the sciences so i can apply to a wide variety of courses within STEM or am i just gonna have to tailor it to the biosciences? i'm very well aware physics is highly different to biochem and i'm quite set on biochem but like i said i would still like to keep some options open just in case! another question i have is what other stuff besides supercurriculars can i write about? do i write about specifically about the fact that it's a FOUNDATION year or do i just treat it like i'm applying to the regular course? thank u
There are specific STEM Foundation courses designed for those with good grades but in the 'wrong' subject.
They are usually designed to bring you up to A level standard across all science subjects, and you then choose the main degree you want to progress to. So, its fine to 'keep your options open' and talk about why all STEM subjects interest you, why the overlaps between sciences interest you etc.

One example - Science With Foundation Year - The University of Nottingham
Similar courses at Southampton and Leeds.

thank you!!!! yeah i was just worried because there are some stem foundation years that are broad, like the one you listed whereas there are ones that are more specific e.g. manchesters bioscience and york's physics foundation yr
