just sat the ESAT

anyone else find Math 1 harder than math 2 or physics?? I thought I did pretty good on math 2 and phys maybe 17-18 on math 2 and 22-23 on physics, but really unconfident with math 1 and felt the most time pressure... maybe because i dont live in the UK and didnt do gcse math

It’s fine they consider each part separately when they give scores you’ll be fine

Maths one way harder couldn’t believe it

yeah maths 1 was really hard, but if everyone found it difficult, the grade boundaries will be lower

@sasdlkjswe were paper and pencils provided for workings? I'm assuming people can't take their own in.

there was an erasable board for u to use + wipes (which i find very not useful when u are under time pressure and u have to waste ur time wiping the board when running out of space

That's interesting. Other people have said they weren't given wipes but were allowed to ask for more boards, like in this video: https://youtu.be/3-n1Zzh0NnM. It should be consistent for everyone.

Really? Wow, these differences are really bad. I feel like we're really going backwards on this. For decades we have sat exams all on the same day, at the same time, under the same conditions, the only difference being how smelly or hot the school gym is.

Pearson Vue seems like a massive step in the wrong direction. And they seem to be building a monopoly, ugh. I'm going to stick my neck out and predict the "Pearson Vue exam fairness scandal" this side of 2030...

Yeah it’s crazy how disorderly this whole process has been. 😫
