Hello! I did English lit, Graphics and Art. I went to uni to study 3D art for games 🙂

Graphics and Photography sets you up with a good start to a portfolio if you wanted to study an art course like fine art, animation, illustration, media, advertising, computer arts - and of course graphic design and photography.

You add in English to these and you get the possibility for something like journalism/reporting, film studies, art history, and more core-english courses like creative writing, possibly something like classics (although top unis will look for english lit and history), and of course english.

Many Uni courses in Social Science of Humanities subjects do not require any specific A levels - everything from Anthropology to Law.

Have a look at the 'entry requirements' for some of the course from just one University - Undergraduate Courses, Degrees : Study : University of Sussex -

Hi! I'm Charlotte, a year 2 Graphic Design Student at Norwich Uni Arts. It's great to hear that you're considering uni! I know how hard choosing a course can be... what are you interested in?

For me personally, I studied a-levels that weren't totally relevant to my degree, so I chose to do what's called 'Year 0' here- a foundation year that helped me to pick up the knowledge needed to help me out for Year1. Opportunities like this can allow for you to choose a degree even if you don't feel qualified for that specific subject.

You can check out our amazing array of courses here: Norwich Uni Arts courses, otherwise, I'm happy to answer any further questions that you may have 🙂 Good luck in choosing a course, I know it can seem daunting.
