What do you think the ideal touch typing speed for all?

My touch typing speed range is between 75-85 WPM. Do you think I should increase the speed or not need to focus anymore on typing speed? FYI, I use 'Typing Mentor' for testing and practicing purposes.

Thanks.
Hey, your typing speed is already pretty impressive at 75-85 WPM! But if you're still interested in leveling up, there are a bunch of great tools out there to help you. I've been using a mix of Typing Mentor (which you’re already on, nice!), along with some others like Typesy and Ratatype, both of which are great for tracking progress and keeping practice fun with games and challenges. I’ve also been using SpeedTypingOnline for more targeted lessons, and it’s really helped me focus on specific weak spots in my typing https://www.speedtypingonline.com/typing-tutor. Also you can read about different methods here.
As for your speed, if you’re comfortable with where you are and it’s not affecting your productivity, you don’t *need* to push it further. But hey, if you want to challenge yourself, go for it! A tip that worked for me: focus on accuracy first, and then gradually build up speed—consistency is key!
What are your goals with typing? Maybe you can start setting little benchmarks for yourself if you want to keep improving. Let me know how it goes! 👏
I highly recommend Monkey Type if you’re looking to increase your typing speed further! It got me to type above 100WPM.

I used all of the ones you suggested here, but 'Typing Mentor' is a very easy-to-use typing platform. I enjoy typing there. Have you tried that yet?
