you’re quite below the grade requirements but u could put ucl as ur aspirational choice and pick other unis at around BBB

have you done your lnat yet? if u perform really well in it (around 30 on mcq) i think they would maybe consider u

Law is a very competitive course at UCL, with most applicants having A*A*A. Since you’re not eligible for contextual, I would say you would be wasting an option even with a great personal statement.

It says in her post AAA, she also says she isn’t eligible for contextual. However, as someone who applied for law at UCL, I also know that a person needs A*AA to apply (that’s the entry requirement).

Well it says AAB on their page, so I suppose that’s just a one grade difference and it could work out for your friend, but only if there isn’t many people applying and those who do also drop down from their predicted grades to lower real ones. Generally it’s not advised to apply to unis where you don’t meet the standard entry requirements.

The standard offer is A*AA. Is this the course you're looking at or another one?

Even if you were eligible for a contextual offer you are well below the standard offer, so I think it's very unlikely you would be made an offer. Bear in mind also even if made an offer, you would still need to achieve it (and the offer will be the standard offer, or contextual offer if you are eligible).

Given your strongest grades at both GCSE and in A-level are in media studies, why not explore that and related areas for a degree option? It seems more aligned to your interests and strengths.

It's great that you have a strong passion for pursuing law at UCL, but it’s important to be realistic about the requirements. UCL typically asks for AAA at A-Level, and even though you have an A* in Media Studies, your predicted grades of A*CC don’t quite meet their standard offer. Since you’re not eligible for any contextual considerations, it would be quite challenging to secure a place with these predictions, even with a strong personal statement. UCL is highly competitive, and meeting or exceeding their academic requirements is crucial. It might be a good idea to consider other universities with more flexible entry requirements as well, where your unique strengths could shine.
