Presume its some sort of summation, but if you take a pic / screenshot / ... of the question and upload it here or to imgur and link it, someone will be able to understand it.

It is definitely a summation! But i have no idea how to upload images, i only just downloaded the app to try and get an answer for this😭
I’ll have a play around and see if i can upload one.

If it was the sum of z from z=1 to 4 would you be able to answer it?
If so, the sum of 1 from z=1 to 4 (four times) should be almost trivial

to 4 should be 10 right? which is incorrect, so i’m confused as to what else it could be?

The sum of z from 1 to 4 is indeed 10 so 1+2+3+4.
The sum of 1 from 1 to 4 is .....
