Applying

Hi, I need a bit of help I am in yr 13 and I do health and social care and psychology where I am predicted D*D and A*. When I say my gsces I was going through a hard time and I didn’t get the best grades in like math as I got a 4. I was struggling when i started sixth form so I mentally couldn’t handle resitting. Now I am like trying to choose university I really want to go to Liverpool but the need a grade 5 for maths which I don’t have so I just want to know is it worth applying still or should I wait till they open clearing and try and get a spot. I really need advice as my sixth form won’t let me resit maths now either

You should retake maths, what course do u what to do? Bc if u don’t have the entry requirements for GCSE maths then it’s probs a rejection

I want to do psychology. Does that mean even during clearing they will on accept you if you have the gsce requirements?

Talk to your school about retaking GCSE Maths this year. You would then just add this to your 'pending' qualifications' and any offer they might make would include this GCSE grade as an extra condition.

GCSE requirements tend not to change during clearing.

idk it depends if it’s even on clearing.. it’s such a popular subject with a lot of competition. I would re take a year if you are so desperate to go to Liverpool!!!
