Architecture portfolio

I’m plan on doing architecture at university 2025, but it is now mid October and I still haven’t started my portfolio. Are there any tips on even getting started? I’m not an art student and so I’m finding it difficult to feel motivated. I know this is something I want to pursue but with exams and coursework I feel like I just don’t have the time?

Any help will be appreciated!

You could consider taking a year out and completing an Art and Design Foundation Diploma at a local college instead. It would put you in a strong position for applying to unis for 2026 entry:

There is good advice from an architecture lecturer about developing a portfolio here:

Just to note - don't submit your UCAS application until your portfolio is ready. Some unis request your portfolio as soon as they receive your application and, on average, you will have three to four weeks to submit it.
