We currently have 29 laboratories for the chemistry, biology and physics department in a building which is collectively known as The Queen’s Schools.

Internal examinations called Trials take place at the end of Michaelmas & Summer terms.

There are three schools (lessons) before Chambers (morning break) and you generally get ten minutes to move between schools. Two further schools lead up to boys dinner (lunch) after which sports & other activities take place. You then return to your boarding houses for shower & tea, before afternoon lessons on a Monday. From 6.15 to 7.30 boys are expected to observe Quiet Hour working in their rooms unless they are at a tutorial or another approved activity. On Saturday you only have four schools (lessons) instead of seven.

Schools generally last about 40 mins.
