Gap year for dentistry

Hi. I have decided to take a gap year before applying to dentistry. During my gap year, I want to do some part time jobs, may I know what part time jobs would be useful for dentistry? Would pharmacy jobs useful ? Or just any random jobs like working at cafe shops, restaurants still be fine? Ideally I want to gain more work experience so that I could have something to talk about during my interview, however, clinical placements are just too hard to find. Any advices ? Thanks

Anything relating to healthcare would be better than random jobs, but those would be fine too. Learning to be punctual, disciplined, attentive... and many other soft skills are very useful for dentistry and you can acquire them by the mere virtue of having a job - pretty much any job.

Clinical placements are hard to find but keep trying. Maybe try to do some volunteering too, that will probably be easier than clinical placements or finding a job in a clinic. And keep up with your wider reading!
